That they will succeed there is no doubt - since the record will only come into existence for the first time through their efforts! So how will it work? First, a circle of huggers will place one hand on the base of one of the turbine masts. Next, others will then hold hands radiating outwards - so that eventually everyone will be indirectly in contact with the single turbine. What will then happen - with all that generated wind energy radiating outwards meeting the positive hugger energy directed towards the centre - no one knows... And that’s not all! The hand-holding huggers will be formed into a symbolic shape that contains the turbine at the centre - following the pattern of the background image you see here. Aerial photography will ensure that the attempt is immortalised in the annals of turbine-hugging history – what a story to tell your grandchildren … “I was there,” you’ll be able to say. “I was one of those huggers when that turbine took off...” Be there to be part of turbine-hugging history and to celebrate the end of Faringdon’s first ever ECOWEEK! |
